Please join us on Saturday, September 11 to enjoy our “Opening Baseball and Softball Day” at Bakersfield Park. In conjunction with Opening Day, we will also be partnering with “Defenders of Freedom” to honor our troops. Donations will be accepted prior to 9/11 as well as in-person at the event on 9/11. Donations may be in the form of money, food, magazines, hygiene for men and women and sporting goods of all kinds. You may also just donate old sporting equipment for our soldiers, which would be great!
Our plans for 9/11/10 are listed below. Anyone wanting to parade with our FMYSA teams around Field 5 are welcome to be at Bakersfield at 8am. We would like to embrace those who want to be a part of our event! Agenda as follows:
8:00 - Bakersfield Park opens / collection of sports equipment and other donations for "Defenders of Freedom" (all day)
8:30 - Parade lineup begins – Participating teams arrive at BF at 8 am.
9:00 - Parade of FMYSA baseball and softball teams
