FMYSA Organization Meeting Minutes 3/8/05

Attendees:

Charlie Carr, Doug Mcnally, Jarrod Rogers, Ken Skillet, Gary Wells, Bret Williams, Mike Rooney, Jim Antionelli, Nick Jamele and Doug Fullerton

The meeting opened with the approval of the minutes from the prior meeting

A status discussion was then held on housekeeping items as follows:

Position Openings – Bakersfield Director slot is open

Background Checks – The coaches are reporting difficulties that appear to be a training issue on the process

Certification Update – It is estimated that there are 30 coaches left to be certified and training dates are set for Sunday (13 th) and Wednesday (16 th)

First Aid Kits – Kits will be given out at the uniform pick-up to all coaches with the exception of the AA teams.   They will be responsible for their own.

Uniform Pick-up – Due to the number of teams, this will be held at Bakersfield rather than Athletic Warehouse.

Softball Issues – There were no reported issues

Baseball Issues – Nick announced that there would be a coaches clinic Friday night (11 th)

Public session

A question was raised about playing down.   Nick responded that playing down would only be allowed under special circumstances (ex disability situation)

An additional question was raised about pants color.   Nick responded that the league policy on pants color is that we limit the colors to gray or white in an effort to provide consistency for parents and players.
