FMYSA Organization Meeting Minutes 6/13/05

Attendees:

Gene Gray, Larry Burwell, Nick Jamele, Amy Burwell, Greg Axelrod, Greg Staddon, Chuck Benrneche, Rand McMicken, Steve L’Huillier, Doug Fullerton, Jarrod Rogers, Charlie Carr, Ken Skillett, Jim Antonelli, Steve Brown, Ken Williams, Trey Ford, Eric Lawrence

The meeting opened with the approval of the minutes from the prior meeting

Amy Burwell was introduced as League Administrative Assistant.   Board approved to have this a paid position
Pepper Hasting was introduced as the new Select Baseball Director

Baseball
Age cut off changed to April 30 th
Birthdates falling in the old age will be allowed to either move up with team or stay back.
Flyers will be ordered and distributed to the schools to announce Fall registration.
Games will run through October 21 with rain out date of October 22 (Saturday).
Tiger Field improvements-new sprinkler system installed-all field issues should go to Jarrod Rogers and Gene Gray.
Bakersfield will be closed as of July 1.
Suggestion to take pressure off of Bakersfield were discussed.
FMYSA will go back to 12 games in the Fall.
Plans to move Spring 06 registration up were discussed.
                                                                                          

Softball
Softball fields at Bakersfield will be open for play in Spring 2006.

AA/AAA
Suggestions to create a better environment were discussed:
Keep membership better informed
Survey to parents on select coaches to be done on interent.
