9/25/06 Board Meeting

Meeting attended by Doug Fullerton, Greg Axelrod, Jeff Clark, Rick Henson, Nick Jamele, Gary Wells, Paul Hazboun, Chuck Berneche, Jim Antonell

• Guest speaker – Lance Walker of IAD, Integrated Athletic Development. Spoke about their training center in Carrolton. www.iadathletes.com
• Rain-out procedures discussed, John Chalfant to be first point of contact. John will update league line and website
• Lightning detectors – to be placed at Bakersfield Park, Hill Top, Glenwick and Chinn Chapel. Cost to be distributed among FMYSA, TOFM and GLASA
• Select survey – refocus required, often comments ignored when detailing positive and/or negative comments
• FMYSA logo contest – Board members studied logo’s submitted
• Baseball coaches clinic planned for 2/4/06 at FMHS, ages 9u and up, times tbd
• NTBBA – outlet for older players not on HS teams to continue playing. Teams to be comprised of 15-19 yr olds
• Baseball uniform modification policy – none are allowed, policy must be enforced. 4U Little Pirates wearing black pants during fall 06 season
• Rotation policy for 7U-8U – coaches must adhere to rules, discussion on implementing changes for spring 07
• Bear Creek vs. NTI – discussion on merits of continuing with Bear Creek
• AAYBA – negotiations began with AAYBA to bring their World Series to FM, summer 07
