FMYSA Organization Meeting Minutes 10/26/05

The meeting opened with the approval of the minutes from the prior meeting.

Houskeeping items around Baseball and Softball equipment bag return dates and times were covered.
The subject of using signage to advertise discussed.   There were a lot of positive comments around purchasing signs at both Flower Mound and Marcus High School.   The success of the NTBA Basketball and Volleyball signage placed at strategic intersections was also discussed as a potential option to use 3-4 weeks prior to registration.

Fall Season Update:

The season is now over and the group felt that it was very successful for the players.

The Softball and Baseball “Pitching” clinics will be occurring in the near future, with the Rattler organization hosting the baseball portion.   There will be a need for coaches to volunteer their time to ensure that there is adequate coverage for the number of kids that will be there.

Spring Season:
There is thought around sending out a league survey on the number of games and potentially more 8:00 games.
We will be looking to move the in person registration up in order to gain more time for pre-season activities such as uniform orders.
Consideration will be made around having a double elimination tournament at the end of the season rather than single elimination.   Seeding for the Tournament will be determined by drawing out of a hat.
Select Coach applications are being reviewed for the Spring season.

Softball update:  
Progress is being made on the non-club select program
