DeMarini Home Run Derby Skills Challenge
THIS EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE AT D-BAT LEWISVILLE IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE COACHES CHECK-IN  ON JUNE 17TH.

The Home Run Derby Skills Challenge for WEEK TWO TEAMS (1 player per team) will be take place on June 17th immediately following scheduled COACHES CHECK-IN time, and will take place at D-BAT Lewisville. As an example for Week Two teams: Your  Coaches Check-In Time is 8:00 AM to 8:10 AM. That same team is automatically scheduled/slotted for the Home Run Derby from 8:10 AM to 8:20 AM (and if flows this way all day). All other Skills Challenge Events are being scheduled to take place at Bakersfield Park! (For Full Details, see sign-up/registration link and more information is also provided on the Coaches Information Page. The HRD will feature the HIT TRAX SYSTEM!)

Winning Players of each age group receive a 2023 Model Year Bat from Wilson Sports. (There will be one (1) winning player for each of the four (4) age groups in the National Championship event.)  

One player from each Registered Team can compete.

DeMarini CF Zen demo bats may be used used by HRD participants if provided. These demo bats, if provided by Wilson for HRD participants, may be used if desired.  The CF Zen demo bats will be set up accordingly by age/size requirements to try to accommodate as many participants as possible. HRD participants may use their own bats, and should come prepared to use their own bats. (No shaved, rolled, or altered bats may be used for the HRD).

Four (4) 2023 Model Year Bats from Wilson Sports bats will be awarded.

The winning players will be announced and awarded during the Opening Ceremonies!

Wilson FungoMan Fielding Challenge

Winning Teams Receive a New Wilson Baseball Glove, one glove for each winning player! (There will be one winning team of four (4) players for each of the four (4) age groups in the National Championship event.)

Teams consisting of four (4) infielders (1B, 2B, 3B and SS) will compete in this unique fielding competition.

Sixteen (16) total Wilson gloves will be awarded!

Sixteen (16) A2000's for the 9U, 11U, 12U, 13U winners.

The winning teams will be announced and awarded during the Opening Ceremonies!

EvoShield Around The Horn Skills Challenge

Winning Teams Receive "EvoShield Branded SWAG", one set of SWAG for each winning player! (There will be one winning team of five (5) players for each of the four (4) age groups in the National Championship event.)

Teams consisting of a five (5) person infield (Catcher, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B) will compete in a timed "Around the Horn Challenge" infield throwing competition.

Twenty (20) Total sets of EvoShield SWAG will be awarded!

The winning teams will be announced and awarded during the Opening Ceremonies!

Oakley FASTEST PLAYER Challenge

Winning Players Receive a New Pair of Oakley Eyewear! One (1) pair for each of the eight winners. (There will be one (1) winning player for each of the four (4) age groups in the National Championship event.)

Up to 3 players may compete from each Registered Team.

All players (all ages) will compete in a timed running challenge from home plate to home plate, as if they had hit an inside the park homerun! (BASE PATH DISTANCE will be 70-foot bases. Practice accordingly if entering this event.

Four (4) Pairs of Oakley Eyewear will be awarded.

The winning players will be announced and awarded during the Opening Ceremonies!

Dicks Sporting Goods FASTEST PITCH Challenge

Winning Players Receive two (2) Dick’s Sporting Goods $50 Bonus Certificates ($100 in total). One (1) winning player at each Age Group, four (4) total winning players!

Up to 3 players may compete from each Registered Team.

All players (all ages) will compete within these Rules:

1)    Warmup Required. Competing Player must supply a warmup partner.

2)    Each player will have a total of 5 throws in the competition.

3)    Distances:

a.     9U throws from 46’ (flat ground)

c.     11U/12U, throws from 50’ (flat ground)

d.     13U, throws from 54’ (mound)

4)    Fastest Pitch (from the 5 throws) will be recorded

The winning players (1 player from each Age Group) will be announced and awarded during the Opening Ceremonies!

Louisville Slugger Coaches Fungo Challenge

• Winning Coaches receive a new Louisville Slugger Fungo Bat
• Two (2) Louisville Slugger Fungo Bats will be awarded; one (1) each week to the winning coach (June 10th & June 17th).
• Open to registered Coaches from the National Championship only.
• One Coach per team may register and participate.
• The winning coach will be announced and awarded during the Opening Ceremonies!

The Parade of Teams is a celebration of and for the players that LOVE THIS GREAT GAME!

It also features our traditional HAT TOSS after the National Anthem is played!

Pin Trading at Bakersfield Park
We don't schedule a specific time and place for pin trading, as we have found the kids much more enjoy "trading on the fly"; on Opening Day Saturday at Bakersfield Park, before and after the Skills Events, and at the Parade of Teams, etc.

D-BAT Lewisville will have Official Trading Pins, and Official Trading Pin Towels for sale at their Wilson Merchandise Tent at Bakersfield Park on Opening Days.

Tailgating at Bakersfield Park
If you've been here before, you know to come early and claim a great spot for the day! Gates will open at 7:00 AM and all parking is first come, first served (no saving spots). The main parking lot will fill up early! Come out and MAKE THIS A GREAT OPENING DAY EXPERIENCE FOR THE KIDS!

Regarding Grills - personal grills must be confined to the parking lot area. Please do not bring grills into the ballfield areas, it's too much of a safety hazard and the Town of Flower Mound will not allow it.

Regarding RV's - while RV's are welcome on GAME DAY's, we are simply to FULL on Opening Day to accommodate RV's at Bakersfield Park. RV's must park at the overflow lot on both Opening Day Saturday's. Thank you for understanding!
